Yeah, We're all Here and Alive and Well
We snapped this photo (the first ever on a timer on Joe's camera) upon arriving in Buon Ma Thuot--the coffee capital of Vietnam. We just want our family members, friends and associates to know that after five days of pedaling, we're all here and we're safe and sound (well...). We're grateful for your support and encouragement. After a rest day today (Saturday), we move on northeastward toward Da Nang, our destination.

John ~ will you take the 24 and head to the 1 and ride the coast to Da Nang and China Beach? ,Cary
ReplyDeleteCary, we are heading up 14 and 14B all the way to Da Nang. Two reasons: we have friends along 14 we want to visit and we were cautioned to steer clear of 1 as it has become too heavily traveled for bicycle safety (though the majority of bike tours still go that way). Other than around cities, 14 is relatively lightly traveled at this point. That will likely change. It is being upgraded all along the way. Still, it's a hilly route. Not for casual cyclists.
ReplyDeleteWow, guys! You look like a cover for a calendar, or Wild Hogs... Ride on!

ReplyDeleteXin chào bác, cháu là bạn của Roy :) ... Hy vọng bác thích Việt Nam và cẩn thận khi qua đường (too many scooters if you know what I mean)
